A March fight with Ortiz, a July bout with Fury and then a December clash with Joshua would complete one of the greatest years in heavyweight boxing in some time.
If the aforementioned fantasy sequence plays out with Wilder, the fight with Joshua could be a Christmas present for the entire boxing community. In any case, the winner of this fight would be the ideal opponent for Joshua in what would probably be the biggest bout in the division in decades. If Wilder wants to get his respect, a win over Fury would surely get the attention of Joshua and his team. Also, when he's fit, he's one of the most masterful boxers among the heavyweights. His name is still among the biggest in the sport. He's a ways off from being in fighting shape, but Fury is on the comeback trail.
